Hip Hop Chick Lyrics

Rollin' down the boulevard, lookin' for a rebound;
Divin' into every bar, Main Street downtown.
What was I thinkin'?
I shouldn't be drinkin' alone.

Stumbled to this club that I was never really hip to,
Dressed a little different than the girls that I was into.
What was I thinkin'?
I shouldn't be dancin' at all.

Oh no, my friends don't get it. (get it, get it.)
(I'm in love.)
Don't ask me why I'm with, a hip-hop chick.
A hip-hop chick.
A hip-hop chick.

She's never heard of Zeppelin, I don't listen to Jay-Z,
Whether this'll last is a definite "maybe."
She's changin' my swagger,
I can't be mad at her, for that.

She took a piece of my heart,
Put a piece 'round my neck;
She laughed at my Soulja Boy dance. (Tell 'em.)
What was I thinkin',
Tryin' to be something I'm not?..
She's worth it.

Oh no, my friends don't get it. (get it, get it.)
(I'm in love.)
Oh no, but if you saw her dancin', you'd be down.
It's complicated, I'm frustrated.
Fallin' deeper in it, get over it.
Don't ask me why I'm with, a hip-hop chick.
A hip-hop chick.
A hip-hop chick.

Call me crazy, call me out:
I'm in love and I can't help it.
She's the hottest; yeah, she's money.
She's perfect for me.

Oh no, my friends don't get it!
I'm in love!
Oh no, but if you saw her dancin', you'd be down.
It's complicated, I'm frustrated.
Fallin' deeper in it, get over it.
Don't ask me why I'm with, a hip-hop chick.
A hip-hop chick.
A hip-hop chick.
A hip-hop chick.

I think the part you don't have is "Never heard of Zeppelin, I don't listen to Jay-Z".

I really like this song... I saw FTSK perform it live in Orlando a week or two ago, and wasn't familiar with it, but it's really grown on me. It's one of my favorite songs by them now. It's a bit different from their other stuff, and I don't want them to stop doing what they do but a few songs like this every now and then are a nice way to shake things up a bit. Overall I'm very impressed with the guys, and can't wait to see them again! (Thinking about flying out to Anaheim to see the last show of the tour O.o)

Well, It's okay to make pure pop like this, But it's NOT okay to sell out, transforming themselves into a Justin Bieber, Disney channel-esque band. If thst happened, They'll no longer be my favorite band.

"She laughed at my Soulja Boy dance. (Tell 'em.)" i just think that bit is just too cute..
