This is how I interpret the song.
The people you would do the most for, and hold dear to you, always leave you. And this is a song about realizing that (seeing the wings behind their back..they're going to fly away) Then comes the crushing sadness afterwards..the pressure. And everything seems to be going downhill. And you're angry at them for taking something from you..themselves.
I don't mean a romantic relationship, but a friendship.
