A Lesser Rate Lyrics
oh, i can relate to all of those things you said
about life's little ugly things, but i never thought i'd have to.
i didn't wanna know just what it'd feel like
to lose focus on this frequency and i'll drown in my dishonesty.
and i'm laughing now, hysterically because i should be further than i am.
we're setting up to fall at a lesser rate.
and what can i say, when i do the opposite of what's always been good for me?
i don't show it when i mean it.
and i'm all of those things which i won't own up to:
i show no common fucking decency and it's never made no sense to me.
i'm in a bathroom thinking horribly, 'cause i should be further than i am.
we're setting up to fall at a lesser rate.
and i spent all money to get to sleep,
but when i die in dreams i don't wake up.
i didn't wanna know just what it'd feel like
to lose focus on this frequency and i'll drown in my dishonesty.
what else do you want from me? 'cause i should be further than i am.
about life's little ugly things, but i never thought i'd have to.
i didn't wanna know just what it'd feel like
to lose focus on this frequency and i'll drown in my dishonesty.
and i'm laughing now, hysterically because i should be further than i am.

"I spent all my money to get to sleep"
you can only know what that means once you've lived it
It read like something straight out of a diary. This kind of shit is the essence of emo, kiddies. That black-hair-dye & arm-scratching shit is weak and lame. This is the kind of song Rights of Spring might write.
CG also plays the shit out of this live. Adam can shred like a motherfucker and it doesn't always come across on the albums.
I love this song. I love this damn band so much.
I fully endorse what was said above me too.
This song's lyrics are simply brilliant and a very fine example of Cheap Girls' ability to produce songs with such a biting and puckering punch delivered on like, a silk pillow. Does that even make sense? Oh man.
