This song is probably about a break-up or just someone who played on another person. They shared some fun together but they weren't really together.
There were a couple of kisses which the protagonist of this song can't seem to forget and his aching heart still longs for that special one. The fire in his soul is still burning and won't burn out because he's bent on achieving his dreams-- To be with that girl. He's hoping for a miracle to happen. In this case, the miracle is that the girl would fall in love with him.

I LOVE THE VIDEO FOR THIS SONG!!!! He's like walking around like a fruity Chuck Norris avoiding all the carnage and death and firey explosions. Adam is epic.
i think, the story goes like, the singer and the one he is in a relationship with are having problems they couldn't get over with. it's like they want to make their relationship right but they couldn't do it because of some reasons that making their plans impossible to happen. then they try to separate but not necessarily a break up just for them to think. then the singer, maybe in a way, he realized he doesn't want to lose that person so he says 'I won't give up on us'. The Miracles he is referring to is the things he will do to keep their relationship alive. :))))
