i lovelovelove this song! it's so easy to relate to, you want to be with a boy but he has a girlfriend so you're just left in the background wondering if he'll ever realize how much he means to you. it's a beautiful song and her voice is so amazing in it <3

I adore this song. The lyrics are open and honest and I think just about everyone can relate to this song. It's definitely one of my favorites, both on theirs and in general.
I kind of think when she says "blame it on the RAIN" That the rain is the girl the guy she likes is in like/love with/dating whatever. This is my new favorite song. From one point or another every girl has related to this.
It's scary how much this song applies to my situation.
I'm in love with my best friend of two years, and even though it's young love, I do know it's true. We've always spent every waking moment together until recently because he's made a new good guy friend and it seems like he's slowly forgetting about me sometimes. But then he comes back and wants to hang out some more luckily. We've had sleepovers and our parents don't even have anything wrong with it. We've stayed up all night watching movies and talking until 6:30 am. When dawn came, he made breakfast for us and we went to his house and fell asleep at 9 am, then spent the rest of that day together. We constantly argue, but 10 minutes later we're laughing ourselves to tears. The thing is, I don't think he knows how in love with him I am because I'm so afraid to let it show because I could lose him. He hasn't had a girlfriend in a while, but when he does, it's always the tramp kind that has nothing in common with him and ends up screwing him over or smothering him. When he flirts with girls sometimes in front of me, it hurts so much, but I still smile for him anyways. When those girls are rude to me when he's not around, I still don't say anything because I don't want him to catch on that I'm jealous. All I know is, no one could possibly feel the way I do for him and even though he's not mine, I never want to lose him. <3
I can relate to this song.. I dated a guy for a year and 5 months. On and off. We broke up and one month later he had a girlfriend.. Till this day I still love him. And he doesn't.
This song really applies to me. There was a guy I really liked for about a year. He dated a couple of girls off and on and I fell in love with him. I could tell he regarded me solely as a friend and I'm afraid I sort of gave away my feelings. He then became more distant for a while and I was left being jealous of and critiquing his girlfriends.
I'm 'out of love' with him now that I've seen deeper into his personality. He's a good friend and we're closer again now, but I can still relate back to this song. And he still has a cute smile. ;)
