Counterpoint Lyrics

Late at night, I'll run through the streets and empty corridors.
I'll find my counterpoint, inside a red room locked behind a door.

I keep holding my head up, holding it up.
Holding my head up, holding it up.
And you just don't come back, around.
It seems to me that we will never be.

And tell me nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong today.
Just tell me nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong today.

Late at night, I'll run through the streets and empty corridors.
I'll find my counterpoint, inside a red room locked behind a door. Behind a door.

And someone tell me,
nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong today.
Just tell me nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong today.

Ooooooh, everything I know.
Ooooooh, everything I know.
Is suddenly gone.

And tell me nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong today.
And someone tell me, nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong, nothing's wrong today, today, today, today.

Today x3

Nothing x6

And someone tell me,
nothing x10

There's obviously been a break-up and he's metaphorically running around- looking for some kind of explanation. He's looking for consolation, that, in fact, nothing's wrong.

My Interpretation

i agree, its about a breakup and hes possibly trying to get over the fact about it by the "nothings wrong, nothings wrong" part

This is the revolting Faustian attitude...and it really pictures itself with clear unworrying thoughts, chilling vibe. All is made to enjoy such song!

He could be worried about someone...maybe they are suicidal or bi-polar...the repeating of just tell me nothing's wrong today really emphasizes their worry that their not hearing from that other person.
