Q&A
with your greatest fears realized, you will not be Lyrics
you wore the hand-me down dress that never fit quite right.
your mother's frame did not favor you.
the summer she passed you were born, and your father lost his job.
he could not handle it (or you).
you wore the saddest smile that never fit quite right.
yours mother's smile felt that way too.
the summer she gave her life for you, and your father blamed you,
was the summer you began to blame yourself too.
your mother's frame did not favor you.
the summer she passed you were born, and your father lost his job.
he could not handle it (or you).
you wore the saddest smile that never fit quite right.
yours mother's smile felt that way too.
the summer she gave her life for you, and your father blamed you,
was the summer you began to blame yourself too.

this is without a doubt, on of the best songs i have ever heard. the lyrics and imagery are insanely beautiful. it's depressing, but one of the most amazing songs i have ever heard./
Fucking haunting. This is about a mother who dies in childbirth, a father that can't cope with it and who comes to resent the baby for the death of his lover, and the daughter who is basically forced from day one to live under the "guilt" of her family's dissolution.
anyone think he's talking about the same girl in "rally the troops! poke holes in their defenses!"?
Go check out the lyrics to that song and reply what you think, because I think there's a big connection.
