Ghost Mouth Lyrics
I've got nothing to do
And nobody to see
Nowhere to go
And nobody to be
I'm on a ghost train
In a ghost cloud
And I don't know how to get out
And get up to heaven
I had a beautiful girl
With a musical dream
She wanted it all
But she didn't want me
Now I'm a ghost man
In a ghost town
And I just wish I could get out
And get up to heaven
I like the bad boys
And the big towns
I like the bad bands
And their big sounds
I've got a ghost mouth
With a ghost frown
And I'm too scared to get out
And get up to heaven
I got to quit staying home
Got to get out of here
It just hasn't been home
Since you haven't been here
I knew it when I heard it the first time
I knew it when I heard it the last time
Nothing compares to you
That's right
I've got nothing to do
And nobody to see
Nowhere to go
And nobody to be
I'm on a ghost train
In a ghost cloud
And I don't know how to get out
And get up to heaven
Yeah, I just wish I could get out
And get up to heaven
But I'm too scared to get out
And get up to heaven
And nobody to see
Nowhere to go
And nobody to be
In a ghost cloud
And I don't know how to get out
And get up to heaven
With a musical dream
She wanted it all
But she didn't want me
In a ghost town
And I just wish I could get out
And get up to heaven
And the big towns
I like the bad bands
And their big sounds
With a ghost frown
And I'm too scared to get out
And get up to heaven
Got to get out of here
It just hasn't been home
Since you haven't been here
I knew it when I heard it the last time
Nothing compares to you
And nobody to see
Nowhere to go
And nobody to be
In a ghost cloud
And I don't know how to get out
And get up to heaven
And get up to heaven
But I'm too scared to get out
And get up to heaven

sounds like its about a person who just got out of a relationship and feels like he doesnt even exist anymore - or at least nobody notices him
I think that one part goes: "i like the bad boys in the booth tells"
I hear: "I like the bad boys in the BIG TOWNS"
I hear "get IN to heaven"
sounds like jesus and mary chain.
i would say only the drums do. and jesus and mary chain took alot of their drums from 60s pop

"I like the frat boys in the boom towns," possibly
I'm not so sure about "frat." When my friend performs her cover of this song she just mumbles inaudibly like the singer in girls. It kinda makes sense. After all, if the singer thought there was meaning to it wouldn't he make sure you could understand him? or maybe post lyrics like other bands do? ". . .get out and get up to heaven" seems like a much more important lyric.
does this sound almost exactly like Hellhole Ratrace to anyone else? It kinda keeps me from liking the song as much as the rest of the album
YES, i second that
