Walking In Circles Lyrics
Quiet everyone's sleeping through life
Afraid that their questions just might have answers
Quiet everyone's shut off their minds
So I'll turn on mine
Alone in a world with millions of souls
Walking in circles
Trapped in a dream unhealthy unclean
Walking in circles now
Do not disturb screaming silence
Everyone's sleeping
Quiet we're living inside of our mouths
Afraid that someone just might hear what we're thinking
Quiet careful of what you might say
Because they'll put you away
Alone in a world with millions of souls
Walking in circles
Trapped in a dream unhealthy unclean
Walking in circles now
Do not disturb screaming silence
Everyone's sleeping
Alone in a world with millions of souls
Walking in circles
Trapped in a dream unhealthy unclean
Walking in circles now
Do not disturb screaming silence
Everyone's sleeping
Alone in a world with millions of souls
Walking in circles
Alone in a world with millions of souls
Walking in circles
Do not disturb screaming silence
Everyone's sleeping
Afraid that their questions just might have answers
Quiet everyone's shut off their minds
So I'll turn on mine
Walking in circles
Trapped in a dream unhealthy unclean
Walking in circles now
Do not disturb screaming silence
Everyone's sleeping
Afraid that someone just might hear what we're thinking
Quiet careful of what you might say
Because they'll put you away
Walking in circles
Trapped in a dream unhealthy unclean
Walking in circles now
Do not disturb screaming silence
Everyone's sleeping
Walking in circles
Trapped in a dream unhealthy unclean
Walking in circles now
Do not disturb screaming silence
Everyone's sleeping
Walking in circles
Walking in circles
Do not disturb screaming silence
Everyone's sleeping

Basically it means how we're blind to our mistakes (symbolized by "shut minds" and "sleeping") and we keep repeating them ("walking in circles"). It goes on to say how these habits/routines/mistakes are often sinful and bad. ("Trapped in a dream unhealthy unclean")
Yes?
I know that this is probably not the intended meaning, but I cant help but interpret the lyrics as communism/police state/1984
I love this song too! Chester tackles the hardest issues with his lyrics. It's so haunting, the chorus; I can't help my sway and circle when I listen to it! The second best on the album I think, behind "End of the World." I wonder if they'll do a whole North American tour...
To me its how we are sleeping through life, and making mistakes that get worse and worse becuase no one is acutally thinking and facing the problem(s).
I love the line " screaming silence"
it shows how how strong the haze of pretending can be.
To thinking! And solving our problems!
bottom line Chesters a music genious he can sing about all these emotions and be so genuine without expecting you to feel sorry for him. I love this album but i do feel it could have benefited greatly from a better band behind him. the guys from orgy/julien k just feel a bit generic.
it's about being selfish and so caught up in yourself that you don't realize what it's doing to the world around you and the people in it. You are essentially sleep walking through life xxx
I'm doing this in the order of the song.
Everyone's sleeping through life, afraid that the things that they are doing just might be bad, but they ignore it. So how about everyone just stop thinking because you don't understand, but I do. Alone in a world with millions of people who sin and they just keep on doing it, without thought. Sucked into this belief that what they are doing isn't important. It's unhealthy and unclean for us to be thinking that. Don't disturb screaming silence, which means "It's driving me crazy how people do these things without thinking, reacting, or doing something to fix it" and the part that is screaming is the fact that it is so noticeable to him, like it's so loud. Also if you do try to disturb the screaming silence, you will never convince them. They don't realize how wrong it is, so they keep on doing it, over and over. We are living inside of our mouths, which means that we only say, agree, and do what everyone else is saying or doing because we are afraid that if we are thinking about something that is different/better than what others are and we say it, than they just might not like it and they'll turn on you, and then they'll think you're the idiot; they'll separate you from the rest of them (put you away).
