I've heard that ETID likes to make fun of Horse the Band and their so-called "innovative style", so this song very well could be bashing how much they hate their music and band in general. It also could refer to how they dislike the current hardcore/punk metal scene and style as a whole.
To me this song is about how Every Time I Die isn't as famous as they should be.
"Admist the most barren scene how are we lost?" That kind of says it all really.
They also can't comprehend how some bands are more popular than them.
