Living In Misery Lyrics
Look through my eyes
And tell me just what do you see
Schools that look like factories
Slow dance to our own heartbeats
Look through my eyes
As missing children fill the streets
Joan of Arc and Josephine
You can hear them sing
We are living in misery, in misery, in misery
We are living in misery but we have to hold on
Yes we have to hold on
You and I
Will as sons and daughters of kings
I want to live for centuries
I want to see everything
Now you're one of us
So fall in love with tragedy
This is the tempo and the key
This is the song we have to sing
We are living in misery, in misery, in misery
We are living in misery but we have to hold on
Yes we have to hold on
Misery
Living in misery
x2
We are living in misery, in misery, in misery
We are living in misery but we have to hold on
Yes we have to hold on
And tell me just what do you see
Schools that look like factories
Slow dance to our own heartbeats
Look through my eyes
As missing children fill the streets
Joan of Arc and Josephine
You can hear them sing
We are living in misery but we have to hold on
Yes we have to hold on
Will as sons and daughters of kings
I want to live for centuries
I want to see everything
Now you're one of us
So fall in love with tragedy
This is the tempo and the key
This is the song we have to sing
We are living in misery but we have to hold on
Yes we have to hold on
Living in misery

We are living in misery but we have to hold on
Yes we have to hold on

I didn't think much of this song when I first heard, but for some reason it popped into my head today, and I decided to listen to it again. I must admit, it sounds very good, especially with Amanda Palmer singing as well.
Basically, I think this song is about how a couple is going through a hard time right now, but they keep telling themselves that they'll make it through. It could be the same with the world in general. We all are going through hard times, but as the quote goes, 'What doesn't kill us, only helps to make us stronger.'
