Live Like We're Dying Lyrics
Sometimes we fall down and can't get back up
We're hiding behind skin that's too tough
How come we don't say "I love you" enough
Till it's to late, it's not too late
Our hearts are hungry for a food that won't come
And we could make a feast from these crumbs
And we're all staring down the barrel of a gun
So if your life flashed before you
What would you wish you would've done
Yeah... gotta start
Looking at the hand of the time we've been given here
This is all we got and we gotta start pickin' it
Every second counts on a clock that's tickin'
Gotta live like we're dying
We only got
86 400 seconds in a day to
Turn it all around or throw it all away
We gotta tell 'em that we love 'em
While we got the chance to say
Gotta live like we're dying
And if your plane fell out of the skies
Who would you call with your last goodbye?
Should be so careful who we live out our lives
So when we long for absolution
There'll no one on the line
Yeah... gotta start
Lookin' at the hand of the time we've been given here
This is all we got and we gotta start pickin' it
Every second counts on a clock that's tickin'
Gotta live like we're dying
We only got
86 400 seconds in a day to
Turn it all around or throw it all away
We gotta tell 'em that we love 'em
While we got the chance to say
Gotta live like we're dying
Like we're dying oh-- like we're dying [x2]
We only got
86 400 seconds in a day to
turn it all around or throw it all away
we gotta tell 'em that we love 'em
while we got the chance to say
gotta live -- like we're dying
You never know a good thing till it's gone
You never see a crash until it's head on
Everything go right when we're dead wrong
You never know a good thing till it's gone
Yeah... gotta start
Lookin' at the hand of the time we've been given here

It's about living in the moment. We decide what to do with the time that's given to us. You want to make sure you've spent every 86,400 seconds doing something meaningful. Like telling someone you love them,
"How come we don't say 'I love you' enough Till it's to late, it's not too late"
Amazing
this songss amazing. this song means take chances get out there and tell that person you love them and show it or just live your life to the fullest dont waste your time cause we cant live forever if you want to go kiss that girl go do it, or if you want to kiss that guy but your too shyy DO IT! its a song about confidence and just go out there and do it follow ur dreams dont put your life in the drains get out there and have fun! its saying you never know when your gunna die or w.e so do what you thought u wouldnt do in a million years before its too late
This song's basically about chances. Sometimes because of heartbreaks from the past, you don't dare break out and tell your next crush/love that you like him/her. But noone knows when your life's gonna end. Let's say you're in an aeroplane and the plane crashes. Your life could be gone just like that. So this song is about living like you're dying, to do all that you genuinely wanna do when you have only 24h in a day. 24h = 1440min = 86 400s.
So hurry up tell those you love that you really love them before it's too late and then regrets will start pouring in. Don't worry about what the consequence will be. Even if it's another heartbreak, you know that you've tried so that's what that matters. After that, carry on finding your true love!
i really like this song, people needa realize we wont be here forever so make sure you say to whoever you love that you do love them.
i prefer the script's version <3 xxx
me too! I love the script. I was wondering why I liked this song sooo much and not the rest of his album and when I found out it was by the script i was like "Ohhh! that's why." lol

Kris Allen published his cover to a song that the original artists hadn't even published yet!!! The Script hurried to publish THEIR song after they found out that a "cover" had already been published of it! AND THEY SOUND EXACTLY THE SAME!!!!! Grrrrrr and what's worse I even bought Kris Allen's version on iTunes! XD To make up for it I bought a whole album from The Script, haha. They're actually really good!
Bleh and Adam Lambert has what like two completely original albums out already? In my mind Adam Lambert will always be 2009's American Idol <3<3<3
I wz just thinking of how funny it wz that Adam Lambert is WAAAAY bigger than any of A.I. 2009s people and he got 2nd!!!! But u gotta love Adam! Lol

i love this song it plays on sonic radio all of the time [i work there] bahaha he really is right
I love this song! It's so catchy and sort of gets me more motivated to finish my work! The lyrics are pretty explanatory...basically it's about taking chances and living like it's your last day.
I think Kris's version of this song is great. It's really similar to The Script's version but I think considering how quickly his album is being put together and how obscure the song is it's forgivable.
The meaning of the song is pretty straightforward and fits with Kris perfectly as far as what he believes in religiously, his career, and his attitude towards life in general--I think this'll be a great kickoff for him and hopefully a hit.
I hate this song because it reminds me of fags from american idol which are fags. This song means that he has to come out of the closet because he has AIDS. He is living like he is dying because HIV is eating up his immune system. He had lots of sex with that gay american idol host ryan seacrest and as we know gay sex leads to AIDS. This is why Ryan can't be a judge because if the coke glasses on the judge table got switched and someone drank out of his glass that person would get AIDS. Seacrest Out is his catchy way of letting people know he is gay without saying he is gay. I sincerely hope this Kris guy goes away soon because his gay fag music is invading my adult contemporary station. Elton John and Coldplay are enough gayness on the adult contemporary music scene.
It's people like you who make the world a place worse than it already is. I mean, you're too foolish.
