The Blind House Lyrics

If you want to stay
Always here
All these years
The last frontier

It's no concern of theirs
The world outside
Corrupts my child
So trust these eyes

Faith is in your soul
Within these walls
Hormones stall
Dogs will crawl

The vices and the doubt
We resist
All this shit
So kneel, submit

Free love
Free love
Feel love in all my sisters

Breathe out
Blind house
You don't need to know their secrets
Believe me

Pray and violate
Abuse your trust
False gods must
Purge their lust

A family that lied
To seal your fate
To take the weight
Of their self-hate

Free love
Free love
Bring love to all my sisters

Breathe out
Blind house
You don't need to know their secrets
Believe me

Breathe out
Blind house
Free love
Feel loved

Steven Wilson said the inspiration for this song came from a raid of a fundamentalist church in Texas.

There's a wiki entry about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YFZ_Ranch_raid#April_2008_raid

And you can hear Wilson talk about it in this video: http://www.roadrunnerrecords.co.uk/page/News?news_id=81666

Loving this track, by the way. :)

This song is ridiculously beautiful.

I can't get enough of this album. I LOVE it. I think it's seriously better than sex.

My Opinion

I'm pretty sure this song is about a religious cult, or fundamentalist group. The song mentions staying behind the walls and not needing to look at the "corrupt" world.

Does anyone else like the drumming on this as much as I do?

Sounds like an attack on the average pedestrian and their trust of the media.

This song is soo sad..

Little girls being molested by people of the 'faith'. A false kind of trust.. It is horrible and I don't want to discuss this any further. I can feel the hurt in this song, I can share their pain.

You don't need to know their secrets.. You wouldn't understand.

Sounds like it could be about a convent...or nuns, being locked in, losing faith etc. Only SW could come up with this. What a great album!

By "hormones stall" it might be referring to how sex abusers (or the abused) are stuck in a hormone-fuelled adolescent phase, and never 'grow out of it'. They remain bound by their basic instincts ("dogs will crawl" is a nicer way of saying "dogs will hunt") forever.
