This song reminds me of me and my ex. He was the first person that i really loved, and unfortunately i gave it all away to him.. a month later, Chris wrote this song, and i got sad..
Chris said this song was about how a lot of girls these days 13 or 14 or 15 years old are trying to grow up too fast, and are getting involved in things that they might not want to get involved with. And he wrote it about someone that was very dear to him and he feels like she's growing up a little too fast.
This happened to me like a month ago... my friend saw this happen and she came over to me and told me that I shouldn't give all of it away to him... and to just wait a wile.... till im ready and im sure that i want to do this. i love this soong(: <3

This song reminds me so much of my friend, well at least the first half. She was always so such a happy, energetic girl, soo fun. But then she got involved with this guy who is always nice to her one day and ignores her the next. he makes promises he never keeps and won't commit to her. he's always with another girl at the same time. he just texts her to hook up but never to hang out. she jumped in so quckly and rushed everything but didn't end up getting anything out of it. It completely broke her confidence and now she's obseesive about him always trying to read his mixed signals and trying to keep him happy. I really hope she eventually gets to be the girl in the second half of the song, cause this girl definitely deserves so much better. :)
He said in his youtube video that this song is about a really close friend of his, and how it relates to many girls these days that just want to grow up too fast.
