Brother we'll save you now Lyrics

Well load your gun and gag the sky, as heaven pours down from your family's eyes. As hard as I failed was as hard as I tried. Didn't they tell you? Never leave your brother behind.
If it was a war you were looking for, you should have spoken up. I needed help with the one inside my soul and all the rest of us did here too. I can remember the poem of one great man saying "your absence weighs more than someone else's presence" and that will probably hold true through impassable days and blood soaked rocks.
We're breaking down these walls to prove our love and shed the light. Now it's time to save another life (tonight) a dream to persevere through the cold, cold years. We'll save you now.
Sleepwalking through deserts like a ghost in a churchyard,
My friend,
You're never alone
We're always awake
Our hearts filled with hope
Your friends are your faith (friends are your faith)
(As hard as I failed was as hard as I tried) (Your friends are your faith)

What I got from this song was a war theme. The lines "Load your gun and gag the sky" and "Never leave your brother behind" really hammered in this thought to me, as brotherhood is a big part of being in the military. It's the experience that nearly every soldier says he or she has when they've been in the army. The song also talks about war inside the soul, and it mentions more than one person. This could be referring to the soldiers having to make hard decisions, such as the one to kill civilians overseas during the war on terrorism, and reflects how important the bond of brotherhood is. And the line "sleepwalking through deserts like a ghost in a churchyard" may be talking about a desert warzone such as Iraq or Afghanistan, the ghost referring to how weary all of them are from their experiences.

The final thing that hammered in this point for me was when the line about "blood-soaked rocks" came up, which immediately makes me think of combat or hardship.

thats what i got also when i heard this song, the lyrics that got me was You're never alone We're always awake our hearts filled with hope

The bond of brotherhood was also portrayed very heavily in the lyrics with lines such as "Your friends are your faith" and "My friend,/You're never alone"
