I think this whole song represents the deterioration of a relationship. The beginning instrumentals that are light and bright sounding seem to represent the good times which lead to the break down in which finally it is said "why don't you do any dishes..." and the relationship has fallen apart.

HA i just bothered listening to those few words in the song for the first time, and i couldn't really believe it! Grizzly bear? being funny?! oh man, this is fantastic.

Sure you could suggest that this song shows an intimate sonic journey exploring a relationship, OR you could pray that they are nothing like that wanky and decided to write something funny for once. I can see two old people having that argument, which they probably have every night, ending with that ".....fine" (happy sustained major chord, with the band maybe nodding and smiling to each other. "we did good today guys, we did good," says the drummer. "oh, i don't know if we were wanky enough with these lyrics." then they all laugh. good times, good times)
