Goin' Down South (with Lyrics Born) Lyrics
More lies, more conversation, Girl
It really don't matter cos I'm not leavin' you
Say you're hangin' with another man
You gotta get more gritty, Girl; I aint believin' you
Stop tryin', stop contemplating, Girl
Nuttin' in this world's gonna make me break
S'gon take much more to get me out your life
I aint Tip-Toe Tom, I'm a tell you straight
I'm goin' wit you, Babe
I'm goin' wit you, Baby
I'm goin' wit you, Babe
I don't care where you go
More lies, more conversation, Girl
It really don't matter cos I'm not leavin' you
Say you're hangin' with another man
You gotta get more gritty, Girl; I aint believin' you
Stop tryin', stop contemplatin', Girl
Nuttin' in this world gonna make me break
'S gon take much more to get me out your life
I aint Tip-Toe Tom, I'ma tell you straight
I'd ruther be dead
I'd ruther be dead
I'd ruther be dead
By six feet in the ground
I'm goin'
I'm goin'
For some other man
For some other man
For some other man
Are always hangin' around
It really don't matter cos I'm not leavin' you
Say you're hangin' with another man
You gotta get more gritty, Girl; I aint believin' you
Stop tryin', stop contemplating, Girl
Nuttin' in this world's gonna make me break
S'gon take much more to get me out your life
I aint Tip-Toe Tom, I'm a tell you straight
I'm goin' wit you, Baby
I'm goin' wit you, Babe
I don't care where you go
It really don't matter cos I'm not leavin' you
Say you're hangin' with another man
You gotta get more gritty, Girl; I aint believin' you
Stop tryin', stop contemplatin', Girl
Nuttin' in this world gonna make me break
'S gon take much more to get me out your life
I aint Tip-Toe Tom, I'ma tell you straight
I'd ruther be dead
I'd ruther be dead
By six feet in the ground
I'm goin'

For some other man
Are always hangin' around

I think the lyrics to this one are actually pretty self-explanatory. Burnside is obviously singing about a woman in his life who had left him while he was still in love with her. He's also convinced in this song that she is still in love with him, whether she actually is or not is unanswered, and that he'll wait for her because anything else is worse then death. The lines, "More Lies, more conversations, Girl" suggests she's been lying to him about why she left. "You say you're hanging with another man. You got to get more creative, girl. I ain't believing you." Also suggests relatively the same thing and that Burnside really thinks she's still in love with him for one reason or another.
Good interpretation and I also hear "Creative" not "gritty" in the lyrics. I don't believe the rap section is Burnside though. I think it's Lyrics Born on that verse.
