Growing up yea you know I was a wild child
Influenced by rap influenced by trap
Yea I thought it was cool but I played smart
But I had to make it left my past in the back
I was making them deals like playing cards
Serving plays out like I was handing out snacks
I had some people say I wouldn't make it out
That's the reason why they call it the trap
Had to spread my wings out and fly just like a bird
Ima work hard for what I deserve
You know I put passion in all of my words
I turned my back then went straight back to work
Time can go by fast just like a blur
Got the armor of God I put that on my shirt
Took off flying like a thunderbird Not only im hungry but I got some thirst
Ain't nun nobody tell me, I done been drug in the dirt, so my heart ain't healthy
And you know I done hung with the wealthy
And I done hung with the poor, I take lessons listen to what they tell me
Talk to god he be giving me blessings
he the only one I need I can't never let nobody compel me
And I been seeking for my dreams we been building up a team
And the negativity energy you know I'm expelling
Put it on the record, let's take it way back to the 70s
Dj kool herc inspired hip-hop it was out there for people to see
It wasn't no popping gats and no toting straps it was having fun on the melody
I said a hip hop hippity hippity hip hop yea you know what I mean (Hip hip hippity)
Then it went smooth till the mid 80's
Gangster rap came around lotta bodies falling down, over beef
And that's just how it originated all the way to now, in the streets
They tell us we stuck in the hood they don't wanna see us make it out, but believe
It might be a long road but I can't let em knock me off my pivot now
They wanna come around, they used to bring me down
I wasn't even born with a silver spoon But they see me now and I got the crowd
I'm reaching greater heights I'm going past the moon
I was young when my fam said I had an insight for things to come true
Beyond the wall of books that defines life after that it might run smooth
What more could you ask for? The crazy light?
You complain about BLM , I gotta love it though
At least somebody still speaking for us, yea ain't that right
And I been getting sick, I swear life's a bitch
She's related to death it is what it is
But we just gotta live and can't take for granted
But some people might not ever understand it
Growing up yea you know I was a wild child
Influenced by rap influenced by trap
Yea I thought it was cool but I played smart
But I had to make it left my past in the back
I was making them deals like playing cards
Serving plays out like I was handing out snacks
I had some people say I wouldn't make it out
That's the reason why they call it the trap
Growing up yea you know I was a wild child
Influenced by rap influenced by trap
Yea I thought it was cool but I played smart
But I had to make it left my past in the back
I was making them deals like playing cards
Serving plays out like I was handing out snacks

That's the reason why they call it the trap

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
