Hmm, seems about leaving California,
but then later on, it seems to be more about suicide.
i don't think some of these lyrics are correct. is this what darren said they were, or just someone's interpretation?
Some other places list the lyrics as:
"I really ployed a tangled web" instead of "I really poured a tangled web"
and
"I am flying over cars and past the northern gay bars" instead of "I am flying over cars and past the moon gates by"
But it doesn't really sound like either.
