I'm not entirely sure, but I always thought it was 'consign' as apposed to 'subscribe'.

They do sing both. I've a live version where they sing 'consign' but I based this on the studio version (Little Lion Man B-Side) in which I'm pretty sure it's 'subscribe' that they sing.

Thats why they r sayin spirituality. subscribe means to pay until ur time is up but consign means to sell up front knowing ur alotment will b sold again. big diff btw the 2 words. he is being self depricating admitting his faults being truthful to himself n since its not a silent "prayer" n hes singng to the world, hes just being honest with himself n every one else. a song of growth thru seein ur self for what u r and changing all the bad stuff i guess. man, i luv the suns n their banjo!
