Crawl Back In

The song details Bennington's slow climb back after extricating himself from a self-destructive lifestyle. He explained to MTV News that the climb started with some serious self-discovery: "It's a song about questioning your authenticity. I do that every once in a while; I wonder how many of my own thoughts are really my own, and how much influence do the people around me have on the person I am."

Guitarist Amir Derakh told AntiMUSIC about this song: "The song itself is about the purity of who you are before you're born, and then when you get older, you want to get back to the same purity of youth."

Not sure on some of the lyrics. Please post the correct ones if some are wrong.

I've never been there, only heard of it. Sorry if there's a coincidence. I was actually at the show to begin with.

I'm not sure how Chester and DBS will be. This and Morning After are great songs, but they each get old quickly, so all we can do now is wait and see if DBS is gonna really be worth time away from LP or if he should just stick to it.

I love this song!! Actually the entire album is on their MySpace right now. It's awesome; this could even out-do Linkin Park! Don't get me wrong, I love LP with all my heart and soul. But Dead By Sunrise definitely produced an amazing album. "Crawl Back In" is the lead track, and it screams for attention in almost every stanza. Chester's vocals return as strong as ever and the instruments by the rest of the Julien-K guys makes an incredible beat. Also, I think "craw back in" could mean crawl back in the womb...maybe, hahaha. Anyway, yay for Chester Bennington!

Shut up "toysoldier" linkin park had its own chance and they lost it hybrid theory was an album with good style but not the next ones DBS i think that by now has actually matched linkin park

I think it's about how everyone keeps pointing out his flaws and they keep telling him what he should do to fix them. He actually started to believe what they kept telling him that when he saw himself in the mirror all he saw was them scrutinising him, he lost who he really was in the middle of it all and that really shook him, so much so that he wanted to put a stop to them, to it. He doesn't want to become just like them because he knows he's better than that-than them and that is why he refuses to be taken down by them just like they had been taken down with insecurities. They were weak and he doesn't want to become that, he wants to crawl back into his skin to be the person that he used to be before any of this happened.

By the way you clearly took some of my lyrics from LPLive even though I asked not to post them anywhere, but whatever, fix them and I don't really care.
