I'm just sayin', remember you're a part of me
If heaven were the setting, and all of this were real
And hell'd be the ending, and a drop in the ocean would save
The million waves that find their way back to get out
And I watch...

And I watch you move much faster than my words
And I watch you move much further from my arms
I never know what to say, you take it all in stride
Hold me tonight, 'cause you're a part of me

It's just a drop in the ocean, now find your way back to the sea
All the kinds of ways you took too much to say what you think
You're a part of me, you're the only drop in the ocean
You're a part of me, you're the only drop in the ocean

Who is a drop in the ocean?
Who is a drop in the ocean?
Who is a drop in the ocean?
Who is a drop in the ocean?

If I close my eyes, we'd kill all the light in Texas
If you hold on tight, maybe the darkness won't wreck us
And you're running to the bottom, you're running to the bottom
Will you fall to the sea?
My love, you're ready for me
I never know what to say
I never know what to say
I never know what to say
I never know what to say
I never know what to say
I never know what to say

If I close my eyes, we'd kill all the light in Texas
If you hold on tight, maybe the darkness won't wreck us
If I close my eyes
If I close my eyes
I never know what to say
I never know what to say
I never know what to say
I never know what to say

It is "...remember you're a part of me."

As for the meaning, per Kevin - "This is my favorite song I've ever written to date. It's the last song on "A Drop Oceanic". It's one of those songs that changed so much and became this thing that was even better than I expected. I rarely explain song meanings and I'm not gonna go really in depth but this is a song that basically just celebrates the fact that there is that one person who is one in a million. They are like no one else and they're the only one who really matters. They are a drop in the ocean. The one drop in a million. It felt like the right time to post this based on things that have went on. I actually stole a line from a previous song I wrote. I rarely do that but I just liked the line way to much to let it die. This song is very moving emotionally and I can't wait for people to hear it."

no, "I'm just sayin', remember you're a part of me" is correct.

"I actually stole a line from a previous song I wrote. I rarely do that but I just liked the line way to much to let it die" -Kevin

"And I watch you move much faster than my words And I watch you move much further from my arms" is from "Turn Around" from when the band was just Kevin and Nixon (from framing hanley) which was also an amazing song in my opinion

The song feels like it is loving someone you have long broken up with, someone that you want desperately in your life but they both know its better to stay apart in the belief that if its meant to be something will bring you together; until then, pretend it's not the most painful experience of your life. So much emotion Kevin, thank you for this album. Thank you for you.

I thought the line was "Who you are is a drop in the ocean."

Pretty sure it's "Your love is a drop in the ocean."
