I feel it has to do with nightmares as well, but more subtly -- not being able to let go of a former lover, that's haunting her.

How they got the moth to appear on the bf's shirt at the end, is pretty cool; doesn't look like it was greenscreened in, but perhaps a serendipitous coincidence that worked out awesome. ;)

This is my interpretation of the lyrics,

She is holding on to the memory of a lost love "My long lost love and the memories of You", maybe she's visiting his grave. She's seems to be standing somewhere when she sees the "phantom legs and blinking pigs" they haunt her. Could be some sort of metaphor of a memory that haunts her. she doesn't want to "run or leave" because she feels his presence standing right next to her. His presence could bring her the "smell of home" which evokes a feeling of nostalgia to her.
