Meantime Lyrics
A peaceful man opens fire
A harmless soul trips a wire
A careless child has expired
Maybe it's just living gets me down
Three dimensions and realistic sound
Meanwhile your withered brain cells fall away
But life goes on
A quicksand under your chair
A poison spreads through fresh air
Maybe it's just living gets me down
Three dimensions and realistic sound
Meantime your withered brain cells fall away
But life goes on
A harmless soul trips a wire
A careless child has expired
Three dimensions and realistic sound
Meanwhile your withered brain cells fall away
But life goes on
A poison spreads through fresh air
Three dimensions and realistic sound
Meantime your withered brain cells fall away
But life goes on

This is a great song. And a shame we had to wait 7 years to hear it. Makes me wonder about all the other gems Wilson has stashed away in his archives.
The vibe that I personally get from it is one of a person who sees only the bad things happening in the world, dwells on war and death happening to innocent people, and has a very dark and cynical view of things. So, and this would be the chorus, he instead chooses to shun the dispassionate world and stay inside, distracting himself with television or video games, and leads a life devoid of meaning or purpose. Depressing, but I guess that's nothing new to PT. :/
from where i got this song it was said that its a bonus track from In Absentia....and this kinda fits in the serial killer theme of the album
it starts with innocent people being victimised... and in the chorus it shows how frustrated the killer is with his life and meanwhile the victims situaltion is gettin worse....
