Oh my gosh! I can't believe nobody has commented on this. I think it might be about when you're having a bad day or something, just be optimistic cause you know the sun will come out again :) Thats just what I think, I'm probably wrong though. Anyways, love this song! <3
I think that this song is about someone falling into depression after breaking up with their girlfriend, and doesn't want to listen to his friends when they try to cheer him up.
Because I've heard all the things you say to me To hold my head high and pick up my feet But I think you'll agree I'm not quite ready to go
These lines show he is receiving encouragement from his friends, and ignoring them as he feels she was his only one. These next lines show he has given up on his old girlfriend, and realized there are others.
