This is completely WRONG.

It a morphing of a section in "Alice In Wonderland".

When she is singing "Very Good Advice".

Which are:

I give myself very good advice, But I very seldom follow it, That explains the trouble that I'm always in, Be patient, is very good advice, But the waiting makes me curious, And I'd love the change, Should something strange begin, Well I went along my merry way, And I never stopped to reason, I should have know there'd be a price to pay, Someday...someday, I give myself very good advice, But I very seldom follow it, Will I ever learn to do the things I should? Will I ever learn to do the things I should?

It just morphed. Into nothing but a beat.

I don't think he actually meant for words to be heard but I heard them anyway.

To be fair, I didn't think it was "Mary sailed all the way to London to a brothel" until someone on YouTube mentioned it.

These are most definitely not the lyrics at all. Every portion of this song was remixed from the original movie, and as you can hear from the "very good advice" scene (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Srn0xkXTSgs), most of the song is a remix of the line "But that's just the trouble with me. I give myself very good advice but I very seldom follow it. That explains the trouble that I'm always in." Her change in pitch from the original scene is very noticeable in Pogo's song (specifically with the very seldom line).

well of course these aren't the words from the movie! I'm well aware of that and I remember the "I very seldom follow it" part - I watched the movie before posting this. the thing is, though, that Pogo didn't make it sound like "very seldom". When he put together different parts, he made the words sound completely different altogether! I know he didn't make it so that it sounded like this, in fact, I read on his blog-site that he doesn't intend to put in any lyrics at all to his songs, but he also said that it's totally...

they are not words..they are 90% of electronically mixed words from the movie. ...mixed.

that's great dude, but if you could all stop posting the same crap and read at least one of my posts you'd see that i understand that.

I agree, I don't think this song was intended to have intelligible words in it.

However, I hear "Mary's so lonely, she loves to talk of the devil."

I think that's an interesting interpretation. and I'm not gonna give you shit for hearing something that wasn't supposed to be there.

"to love, but trouble" thats what i get but yeah i dont think theres supposed to be lyrics

ANYWAY.

you guys. before posting the same shit everyone else has, read at least one of my posts. i'll just copy & paste one: "well of course these aren't the words from the movie! I'm well aware of that and I remember the "I very seldom follow it" part - I watched the movie before posting this. the thing is, though, that Pogo didn't make it sound like "very seldom". When he put together different parts, he made the words sound completely different altogether! I know he didn't make it so that it sounded like this, in fact, I read on his blog-site that he doesn't intend to put in any lyrics at all to his songs, but he also said that it's totally up to our imagination to decide what it says. and this is what came to me in my head."

anyway, I put this up because I was interested in comparing different people's interpretations. That was the fun part. but I guess I'll just change this to instrumental if people are gonna be pissy.

I think I've broken down the sections of song Alice sings in the order they are in the song. The parts in the brackets are cut out, but I wrote them in to give context of where these bits were coming from.

very sel[dom] [f]ollow it alon[g] should ha[ve] the trouble

This is most definitely the samples from the original movie that are used in the song. Thanks for this, lujk! Very helpful. :)
