Snakes & Tea Lyrics

Sorry, I took your money and burned it
But it looked like the world's falling apart when it crackled and burned

So I think it was worth it
After all, you can't see the world fall apart every day

The lyrics were taken from a poem by a sixth grader, I think. I copied those onto here except they added one line that I can't make out, which is the "So I ___"

the poem by the sixth grader is called "Sorry But it Was Beautiful"

about the meaning: I think it's pretty obvious people get too occupied with not just money but all their material possessions and their every day problems they forget about the world
