wow. is it just me or does this song sound a bit country??? i <3 this song with the country bit.

Anyway, I think this song is sorta easy to find the meaning of (this is not a smack for those who havent, BTW). This girl is in love with her guy friend that (in my interpretation) only sees her in jeans or not dressed up, at least. That's why she says, "Lipstick, pretty face And maybe you'll notice something Different about me, different about me" because maybe if she wore lipstick or dressed up once in a while he'll notice something diferent about her, like think that she's cute or something, which is, like, attraction (god, am i the only one who thinks I sound like a total dork??? lol). and maybe he has a girlfriend, and she thinks that his girlfriend isn't good enough for him. she's telling him that "sooner or later" he'll realize taht she was there all along, while that b*tch was totally messing with him.

soooo yeah. that's more or less my "song meaning" XD. in a nutshell: she wants her guy friend - who has a girlfriend - to see that she's girlfriend material and that he's all hers if he wants her sooner or later.

this song to me his about a michelle and the boy who are really good friends like they probaly talk about evrything so the boy probaly talk a lot about his problems in relationship with others girls and michelle hidng her true feeling for him by helping him with his problems. i guess but over the years of there friendship she fell in love with him and he his to blind to see that sso she sing this song hopiing he get a clue and realizing that im the right girl for you im the who understands u but she kinda also saying that she wont wait on him forever and hopefully sooner or later he figure out she was evrything that u needed. she want him to realize this sooner but i dont know lol im not sure im right on this but that my opinion

In one of the interviews, she said that it was about a guy from high school, and that she's been writing it for a while, and finally got all of the words.
