A Dead Current Lyrics

These are the lights in heaven burning out, you see
Your walk with your invisible man ran short
When you realized that theres nobody there

You looked into the mirror, and saw no one there (x2)
They're burning out, you see.

And you realized that the thought of this was schizophrenic When you talk to your self at night
So you like your book of stories?
That's all they are
Nothing more then fairy tales
Just lies

So you closed the book
That you never read
Just pretended to
In front of all your friends

You can be my cold sensation (x2)
That's all they are!

These are the lights in heaven burning out, you see
When you realized that there's nobody there

YOUR BOOK IS FULL OF LIES! (x7)

Hmm, I shocked no one commented on this. I would expect some crazy Christian person to some on here and post about how stupid and crazy Mitch is for bashing the bible and what not. Nothing against Christianity but if you don't agree with what this song is about there isn't much need for you to come and post on here. I for one love this song. I don't technically hate the bible. The stories in them have good meanings behind them but that's it, they're just STORIES. They don't hold much for me except a good message in the end. I love Mitch's honesty. Suicide Silence is brutal :D

Seclusionxx you're so right.

It's about bashing the biggest book of them all for the believing christians in our modern society.

Wonderful bonus song on the Cleansing album. Awesome. Mitch's honesty is really good, "The Fallen" those lyrics are also really honest.

I agree with both you of you.

"So you closed the book That you never read Just pretended to In front of all your friends."

Correct me if I'm wrong, or if you see it differently, but in this part it seems like he's talking about how some "hardcore christians" these days are fake, hypocritical, and two-faced. They preach to everyone else, but they're just as guilty of the same things. Before anyone pounces on this comment, I did say SOME, not all. But the over-all song is pretty self explanitory.
