Left Hand Shoe Lyrics

Don't be afraid of Jesus
Jesus, oh no
Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson, he's an angel

I believe in Jesus
And he owns the tomb
And don't be afraid of Michael Jackson, oh
Jesus, please don't

But the girl in the back of the room who's raining all of the perfume on you
I believe in Jesus
And he owns the tomb

Dum dee-da-da dum dee-da
I've got a left hand shoe
Dum dee dum dum dee-da
I've got a left hand shoe

From what I gather, it seems the sisters like Michael Jackson: "Michael Jackson, he's an angel" As if to say, even though people may think he is a freak, don't be scared of him because he is a genuinely good person on the inside. He is an angel.

I'm not really sure how that ties in with the title of the song, though. The incessant screaming adds a creepy factor too.

Left hand shoe is part of a poem in Alice through the looking glass, when the white knight sings a balald, and this is part of it:

And now, if e'er by chance I put My fingers into glue Or madly squeeze a right-hand foot Into a left-hand shoe, Or if I drop upon my toe A very heavy weight, I weep, for it reminds me so, Of that old man I used to know–

And it makes me think of L. Carroll, who was also accused of pedophilia, while he created the most beautiful and innocent stories known to literature.

I think we're getting somewhere. And thanks for that excerpt!

i was just listening to this today and it's kind of surreal how michael jackson is dead now.

also, i have no clue what a "left-hand shoe" could be. i guess this song is comparable to a surrealist painting and could be surreal in itself, something like that.
