I don't know how I ever ended up here.
I just came across a Y in the road and so I took it.
Started talking to a man and he told me,
It's a nice little town to settle down in, if you're looking.
I said, thank you but I won't be staying long,
It was just another place I don't belong.
I left a little girl in Austin,
And we kept on getting closer till I got cold feet.
Every now and again I think about her.
She was college educated with a PhD.
Well, she was always right and I was wrong.

On and on, I've gotta keep on going.
