Teach Me to Whisper Lyrics

Trouble is on its way, it's on its way

Another day, another decision
One that eventually affects us both
Teach me to whisper, cause I feel like screaming
Teach me to whisper

Anger and hatred are their oars, revenge their vessel
Be strong, be patient
Making the best of a bad situation, making the best of!...

This is your conscience speaking, spare your spirit
Trouble is on its way, it's on its way
Teach me to whisper, cause I feel like screaming
Teach me to whisper

Anger and hatred are their oars, revenge their vessel
Be strong, be patient
Making the best of a bad situation, making the best of!...

Behold the destroyer
By the hand of man
Death be delivered

Anger and hatred are their oars, revenge their vessel
Be strong, be patient
Making the best of a bad situation, making the best of!...

I think that this song is about have the strength and patients to get through bad times. We as humans get angry easily and its hard to be patient when the odds are stack against us. The lines "Anger and hatred are their oars, revenge their vessel" and "This is your conscience speaking, spare your spirit" are saying that if what let anger and hatred drive us then we can't let spare us spirit the pain of the bad times. My opinion.

I have to pretty much agree with synisterocker on the majority of it but imo its not exactly correct. you need to read it as a whole from top to bottom. You cannot let yourself be consumed completly by anger and hatred, or you will in turn lose yourself "spare your spirit". And take note that the way he words things "Another day, another decision. One that eventually affects us both. Teach me to whisper, cause I feel like screaming" its almost as if hes talking one on one with sombody else, that sombody else being his inner self, his consiousness. And that you need to listen to your inner voice so that you may, in his terms, wisper and not scream.
