Roll Up Your Sleeves Lyrics
Roll up your sleeves
We're headed for winter I know
The nights will get colder
And I'll make my bed
Make sure I'm well fed and we'll sleep
And wake when we're older
It's slower
But I can wait it out
Forming an orderly queue
Outside your house
Roll
Up your sleeves for winter
And I can wait till summer
When you're warmer
Roll up your sleeves
We're headed for winter I know
The nights will get colder
And I'll make my bed
Make sure I'm well fed and we'll sleep
And wake when we're older
And slower
But I can wait this out
Forming an orderly queue
Outside your house
I'm not even kiddin'
Roll
Up your sleeves for winter
And I can wait till summer
When you're warmer
Roll
Up your sleeves for winter
And I can wait till summer
When you're warmer
Stay calm (x9)
Keep warm
Keep warm
We're headed for winter I know
The nights will get colder
Make sure I'm well fed and we'll sleep
And wake when we're older
But I can wait it out
Forming an orderly queue
Outside your house
Up your sleeves for winter
And I can wait till summer
When you're warmer
We're headed for winter I know
The nights will get colder
Make sure I'm well fed and we'll sleep
And wake when we're older
But I can wait this out
Forming an orderly queue
Outside your house
I'm not even kiddin'
Up your sleeves for winter
And I can wait till summer
When you're warmer
Up your sleeves for winter
And I can wait till summer
When you're warmer
Keep warm

I think this song is about the guy talking about how he can tell that the relationship is gonna get hard, either because that is how it has been in the past (like it gets difficult during winter), or because he can tell from the signs that she is giving to him. He is saying that he could just ignore the stuff and let whatever happens happen, but that he is instead choosing to "roll up his sleeves" to make the relationship work
