Welcome to the Future Lyrics
When I was ten years old
I remember thinking how cool it would be
When we were going on a eight hour drive
If I could just watch TV
And I'd have given anything
To have my own Pac-Man game at home
I used to have to get a ride down to the arcade
Now I've got it on my phone
Heeeeey
Glory, glory, hallelujah
Welcome to the future
My grandpa was in World War II
He fought against the Japanese
He wrote a hundred letters to my grandma
Mailed em from his base in the Philippines
I wish they could see this now
The world they saved has changed, you know
Cause I was on a video chat this morning
With a company in Tokyo
Heeeeey
Every day's a revolution
Welcome to the future
Heeeeey
Look around its all so clear
Heeeeey
Wherever we were going, well, we're here
Heeeeey
So many things I never thought I'd see
Happening right in front of me
I had a friend in school
Running back on the football team
They burned a cross in his front yard
For asking out the homecoming queen
I thought about him today
And everybody who's seen what he's seen
From a woman on a bus
To a man with a dream
Heeeeey
Wake up Martin Luther
Welcome to the future
Heeeeey
Glory, glory, hallelujah

surprised nobodies commented yet, this song strikes as just saying. since Brad was a kid the world has changed so much, we've moved ahead in time for better or worse. heck things have changed a lot in my life time and i'm only 16.
This song reminds me and means to me the past history vs. the world today in this generation, and also the story behind Brad Paisley and his childhood. how agrees with me.
this song is amazing dude. the meaning is pretty clear...
Hmmmmm What is the Martin Luther comment referring to?
It's talking about Martin Luther King Jr. When it talks about the man with a dream, it's referring to the speech by Martin Luther King Jr.
