I think this is unquestionably a love song. It's an interesting one to say the least but definitely in a good way. One of the best off the new album.
I also wanted to comment that I don't think this album is a fusion of any of their previous material. I think this is true progression. For better or for worse, this is progression.
The new album is ridiculously good and it is definitely a major progression but i do hear the mix between vheissu and earth.

Man God bless Dustin. What a tribute to the institution of marriage here in this song, I love his lyrics so much. I originally thought he wrote this about his love for Jesus, but with the lyric "a ring don't mean nothing if you can't haul the weight" it truely hits home that this song is about his love for his wife. In a society where you can get a divorce if you wake up one day and don't think you love your spouse anymore, he bashes that notion with powerful, emotional lyrics. Great job Dustin, great job Thrice!

um... before i got on here and read about all ur guys marriage theory, i totally thought that it was about frodo and the ring from Sam's perspective. b4 u all laugh at me, it totally makes sense. they talk about destiny and fate a ton in that movie/book. it even mentions the ring. someone agree with me so i dont sound crazy :) no really though. do u think my theory could be correct

@helpfromspace i never thought about this song that way, but i think it can totally apply. Love doesn't always have to be expressed in a romantic way, Sam's loyalty to Frodo through thick and thin is a remarkable example of love between friends.

that's the cool thing about Dustin's lyrics, they have different levels and layers of meaning. He may have written this song for his wife, but he wrote it in a way that can be interpreted universally.

I have a feeling that the sound of this album is going to be a fusion of vheissu and TAA:Earth. We'll see. let's hope for no delays on the release.

It's already been said here, but even though love is a natural thing, don't forget that relationships are a lot of work. You need to put a lot of effort into it to make it last... This song will haunt me for years.

It's about the commitment of marriage. True love in real life is not an automatic burning emotion, it's the dedication to constantly choose to love and do what is right by your spouse. It's tough and the weight of it should not be taken lightly. The last verse sums it up very well.
