Too Much Lyrics
I admit, I miss seeing your face, babe
(Seeing your face, babe)
Being alone is starting to take its toll
I'm cold and it's getting old
(Getting old)
I admit
(I admit)
I should've made some changes
(Changes)
We were so smothered in love
We didn't have a chance to come up for air
(For air)
What a waste
Where did the time go?
Where did our minds go?
I don't know
What's this place?
Where did our home go?
We won't know
I don't know
Too much of anything
Is too much
Too much of love
Can be too much
We had too much time
Too much us
So we fought like tomorrow was promised
Too much, too much, too much, too much
Too much, too much, too much, much
Much too much
I admit, I'm still watching the days go by
(Watching the days go by)
And sleeping alone is starting to break me down
It's cold, but I should've known
(Should have known)
I admit
(I admit)
I made a few mistakes, babe
(Mistakes, babe)
We were so caught up in love
We didn't have a chance to come up for air
What a waste
Where does the time go?
Where did our minds go?
I don't know
What's this place?
Where did my heart go?
We'll never know
I'll never know
Too much of anything
Is too much
Too much of love
Can be too much
We had too much time
Too much us
So we fought like tomorrow was promised
Too much, too much, too much, too much
Too much, too much, too much, too much
Too much, too much, too much, too much
Too much, too much, too much, too much
Much too much
I need to find a reason to feel
Like everything was meant to be let go
Take it slow
'Cause I can't be on my own
Too much of anything
Is too much
(It's just too much)
Too much of love
Can be too much
(It's just too)
We had too much time
Too much us
So we fought like tomorrow was promised
Too much, too much, too much, too much
Too much, too much, too much, too much
Too much, too much, too much, too much
Too much, too much, too much, much
Much too much

i kinda hate how it doesn't really get anywhere. i feel like i'm waiting for a chorus that will never come.
but it's actually a very nice song to listen to in the car or to sleep.
HATE the echo crap that should have stopped very soon.
cute lyrics though. all i can think about is;
Holly would you turn me on: 'too much of you is never enough' and how ironic it is.
i was definitely thinking how ironic that was!!

Looks like alex did some re-thinking on that philosophy

Jesus people, stop freaking out about this song
It's something new, and different
... Quite honestly, I believe this song is about taking love for granted, and then losing that love. They had "too much" love and "too much" time, so they figured that "tomorrow was promised" when it wasn't. It's like the philosophy that one should live like they're dying--they don't know what will happen tomorrow, so they should live life to the fullest.
It seems like this song is about someone who had too much time, took it for granted, and now has regrets, possibly because his love is gone.
Like another user said, it may have something to do with the need for personal space, but I personally believe that more of the lyrics point to a surreal, "How did I end up here" feeling, as if you'd lost your love and your life is in shambles.
i'm scared -nothing personal
Am I the only that noticed how ironic the song order is? Walls talks about 'falling so in love with you and no one else'. We follow that up with talking about being 'smothered in love' and having 'too much'.
Irony aside, this song is a not what I expected from All Time Low. I wish they had taken a more acoustic route instead leaning towards a techno beat; that might have helped a bit.
Overall I like the new album. It's different and took some getting used to, but I like it. This particular song simply is not a high point in Nothing Personal.
The fact that he repeats "too much" is kind of just a use of irony to prove his point... So there's no point getting all pissy about it.
I agree 100%. Haha.

lol whatever i like this song i love the new and old all time low f_ck the haters

i could be completely wrong but just think outside of the box for a second. For some reason i don't think this song has anything to do with love. after reading the lyrics for some reason i think it's about like the band now i'm well aware i could be wrong but listen. the lyrics. ''Too much of anything Is too much'' this could mean that they received too much exposure which you would normally think it's a good thing that's why they said that.''I need to find a reason to feel Like everything was meant to be let go...

this sounds so much like the blogs he writes.. i bet there are the same lyrics in it but i am too lazy to look that up right now
This song is so annoying ha. But I think that was the point? I mean it goes "too much of anything is too much" and then it just goes "too much, too much, too much, too much, etc."
LMAO, excuse the heart I wrote. I was saying that to the lyrics. I listened to this song and it's total shit.
