Arming Eritrea Lyrics
Come on, Rick, I'm not a prize.
I'm not a cynic or one of those guys.
Come on, Rick, I'm not a rope,
Now pull your socks up.
Come on, Rick, I'm not a child,
I'm not special or one of a kind.
Come on Rick, I'm not a drunk,
I know my own worth,
And then I don't.
And then I don't.
A common purpose,
A common goal.
Come on, Rick, I'm not a prize.
I'm not a cynic or one of those guys.
Come on, Rick, I'm not a rope,
Now pull your socks up.
Come on, Rick, I'm not a child,
I'm not special or one of a kind.
Come on Rick, I'm not a drunk,
I know my own worth.
And then I don't.
And then I don't.
A common purpose
Gains value as a common goal.
Let's flail together
If we must flail at all.
Deep in the heart of the battle,
Caught in the switch of the flow,
Freedom from notes, she sells freedom from songs,
She sells freedom and arms Eritrea.
I could have made these excuses in my sleep,
As if anyone had doubted them at all,
But if we arm Eritrea then we won't have to pay her
And everyone can go home.
I've got to seek paranoia where I find,
As if anyone had doubted it at all,
But if we arm Eritrea then we won't have to pay her
And everyone can go home.
Yeah.
I'm not a cynic or one of those guys.

Come on Rick, I'm not a drunk,

And then I don't.

Come on, Rick, I'm not a child,

Hmm.. I wonder who's Rick? He sounds like a d*ck.
I'm an ADULT! I'm an ADULT!
"But if we arm Eritrea then we won't have to pay her" How very politically charged are these lyrics. But they are spot on tho, cuz Europe and America have been arming and dividing African countries for decades and even China is getting in on the act (Sudan). They do it because it's easier to strip away the mineral wealth from Africa when the worlds attention is diverted by an artificial civil war/s.
I reckon Rick is any of those corporate douchebags who do underhanded things on the sly to keep the shareholders happy and to make sure they get their golden handshake when their tenure is over.
Eritrea is a county in Eastern Africa, bordering Sudan and Kenya.
Ethiopia, not Kenya.
I reckon she is Ethiopia, getting millions in aid. Arming Eritrea would be cheaper and do the dirty work for leader of the free world ( who could also be be she, alongside allies). Or she could be the welfare system. Going home could be from the perspective of troops stuck after having armed her. War is cheaper and takes less time than an agreement of the term "democracy" between one world to another. Rick, is either a sell out or a person who has lost his soul to the devil. A whore of the system, selling an alternative that completely is against every moral and principle of the struggle or future of the land.
I have no idea who Rick is, but Eritrea was also a Greek city state in the Aegean Sea which was Invaded by Darius and the Persians and Athens supplied arms and soldiers to try to stop them there to prevent an invasion of the Greek mainland.
