Forgive and forget Lyrics
I receive all i ever dream for, in return all is taken away
I remember everything before tonight
These illusions that life is so clear have been cleansed for my toughts
Floating branches are the only things truly connected to the ground
I'll never close my eyes again
How could I ever forget a plave like this?
Somewhere that i can call my own
this is satisfaction in its most beautiful state
Surrounding me is everything that is true,
just let this be true , let this be
I wont forget, this is my own
I wont forget, open my eyes
I wont forget

To me, this song is about drugs and the drawbacks that come with them.
"time spent searching for the world" = drug use. The singer is "Wanted" because doing drugs is illegal.
"I receive all I ever dream for, In return all is taken away" I can do all the drugs I want, but now I realize there are consequences...
"I remember everything before tonight" a clear reference to drug use and the common memory loss effect
"These illusions that life is so clear, Have been cleansed from my thoughts" the idea that reality or point of view are constant and as simple as they appear has been altered after drug use
"Floating branches are the only things, Truly connected to the ground" a non-sequitor, almost something that a high person would think, an unreasonable thought
The rest is sort of self explanatory, and I don't feel like going into it, but Miss May I are some of the most underrated lyricists. Their lyrics aren't always clear, but they contain strong messages.
@shnoogums Indeed i couln't perfectly agree more with this "Miss May I are some of the most underrated lyricists. Their lyrics aren't always clear, but they contain strong messages."

You guys have the lyrics wrong, it's not
"Take me back to how i used to be"
it's clearly
"Take me back to how it used to be"
Just listen to the song.
@ISeeStraightLines I could said that also sounds like "take me back to how we used to be"

I think (as opinion should be valid) that this song could be talking about amnesia, or possibly an accident thus causing the inability:
"I receive all i ever dream for, in return all is taken away",
honestly, you could just quote this entire song and it would make perfect sense but, alas; an opinion again has only so much water it can hold.
(an elaborate exclusive) Johnny never thought to this day that he would nigh shed light upon his own demons to rid them, but rather shred it and paradoxically better understand that which engulfed his life with cacophony. He bore his family on his shoulders, their weight becomes sparse like the generations that will fall from the future like they did before him only shrugging them aside and wrenching his hands with their blood...
A: "Hey, new guy."
B: "Yeah?"
A: "Do you see that man looking out window?"
B: "Sure, just like half of all the others in this Cuckoo nest. What about him? Is he another one of those 'brilliant minds' they refer to?"
A: "No." A: "He's lost within his own mind. They say he murdered his entire family, but I think someTHING made him. He's secluded himself deep in his mind so whatever it was, won't come back."
B: "I'll be sure to plant extra flowers out there for him to look at then."
