Judgment Day Lyrics
Hot day in the Summer sun
Its a hundred and twenty-one
Loud tanks and machine guns
Another day and another run
Looking for a good place to hide
Forty-five on the strong side
Me and my buddies haven't realized
It's just a job, we don't wanna die
I miss my family
I miss my friends
I hope I'll make it back again
(Bang bang bang)
Another body goes
(Down in flames)
Another mother will
(Cry his name)
Another coffin will
(Hold his remains)
(Bang bang bang)
Another body goes
(Down in flames)
Another preacher will
(Say his name)
Another coffin will
(Hold his remains)
Until Judgment Day
Focusing and staying relaxed
Before I have a damn heart attack
Stay alive and stay intact cause
God knows I wanna make it back
This can't be the end for me
I gotta lot at stake to do you see
Raise my kids and my family
I pray to God he's protecting me
I miss my family
I miss my friends
I hope I'll make it back again
(Bang bang bang)
Another body goes
(Down in flames)
Another mother will
(Cry his name)
Another coffin will
(Hold his remains)
(Bang bang bang)
Another body goes
(Down in flames)
Another preacher will
(Say his name)
Another coffin will
(Hold his remains)

I think the meaning is about a solider overseas fighting who thinks about coming back home, and really wants to come back home. But being out at war is his judgment day
My mistake, it's actually "LIVE tanks and machine guns", not "LOUD tanks and machine guns".
his song sums up how you feel when you're out lost in the sand or surrounded by jungle. You know you could be sleeping in a cozy bed, eating warm meals, enjoying your family and friends. Instead, you're getting what sleep you can on a cot or the ground; eating MREs or finding your own food or going without food; and cleaning your weapon, watching friends die, and wondering if you will even make it back. Putting on those Class A's to put a friend into the ground is just as bad as the first time you pull the trigger on another human being. Seeing a mother weeping uncontrollably because her baby died for Lady Freedom is a sight one will never forget.
This song makes a point about how many soldiers (who see combat) over there don't understand how much danger they are in and how final death is until a buddy, or they, go down. That first bullet wound was a big eye opener for me, as I am sure for countless others.
I wouldn't change anything I've done, but it really is hell out there. Just be happy the war is over there, and not here. You may oppose the war, but please support the troops. Hooah.
