Basically, don't lead her on and make her stay if everything he says and does is a lie. She'd rather him tell the truth and her leave than him to drag her around. Even though she DOES love him, and wants to be with him, she knows inside that she'd rather him tell her the truth.
I can really relate to this song because it sucks sometimes just not knowing where things stand in a realtionship. I think its about how guys tend to shy away from telling the honest truth because they dont want to get caught up in what they think is "stupid drama". Just say what you mean. The sooner that happens, the easier it is to move on.
