Desperate

The only thing that kept him sane was "crying out" which means, in the past, crying out to God was the thing that kept his sanity. He's looking back on his past of what he's done, all the times he's eff'd up, and knowing that the sin would not be a good, long-lasting foundation. "I need a love that stands true", is a reference to this as he needs a strong emotional foundation in a relationship with the Creator of the universe.

Total omnipotence and total omniscience are recognized here with, "You know my name ... You know my pain", as if God is observing his very life and he understands that he needs to live in God's plan to the best of his ability. Another nod at the omniscience of our Creator with, "You know that I do". He is emphasizing God's all-knowing ability displayed realistically by the design of this world. As if to say, 'This is the message that I preach. All the wrong of my past, I still 'eff up so much and I will always need a personal relationship with you, God.'...love one other, love the Creator of you, don't 'eff over your homies... let's chill bro... let's all blaze together.

2nd verse, first line is "Living in a world of hurt", not "Luring"
