Milkman Lyrics

My brother
My only kin
I'm lost in tears in the mirror again

Lord knows I have no conscience
But I'll delve into my mind
Where your voice it still remains

Lord knows I still need you
But you're far away
Lost in some playground
In Disneyland

Take me with you
We'll play till the end
And fall off
The face of the earth

My Brother
My long lost friend
We cut our hands
To have more skin

All I found
Once I left this land
Is the desolation of humankind

Follow me
Will you wind this tape again
I'll be looking for you around the next bend

Yup best song off the ep is right.

They had a brother who died as an infant so with that pretty sure this song is about him. I think she's basically saying "I miss you/wish I could of had more time with you/and I'll see you on the otherside"

God this song is just heatbreaking isn't it?

I agree, to me it sounds like 'fall off the face of the earth' too. And also, I think it may be 'where your voice it still remains'.

Also I think it's "Where your voice it still reminas" not "Where your voice is still a maze"

I'm not able to see my little brother anymore. This song really describes a lot of how I feel. It's beautiful.

Heartbreakingly beautiful. You know, when CocoRosie does a song that is less experimental/out there and more emotionally accessible, it is REALLY accessible. Songs like this, Werewolf and South 2nd pack in such a hard punch. Wonderful stuff.

Oh jeez. It just occurred to me that the last two stanzas could be about her committing suicide and not finding her brother in the afterlife…
