Organized Scenery Lyrics

Trees grew leaves in the weeks I was gone,
No response when the neighbors came to call,
And you wouldn't want it any other way.
We know,
Everything changed.

Sometimes summer wears away
When we want to see the sky.
If you look down, you'll see,
You'll find.
In the worth of the winter, we cried out,
Take what's left of your time and decide.
And you wouldn't look beyond the other way.
We know,
Everything changed.

Remember, oh.

See how we watch the world go by
And when we wander,
We even let all our plants die.
Don't think about them.
Oh, seeking can be so time-consuming.

Remember, oh.

Trees grew leaves in the weeks I was gone,
Hands turned keys to the locks in the dark,
And we wouldn't want it any other way.
We know,
Everything changed.

i think its remember awe but i love this song either way (:

I believe this is about leaving home to seek more from life. Or maybe just the need to wander, to recapture the essence of childhood - "remember awe" (I too think it's "awe").

Words can hardly describe how this song makes me feel. I'm in love with it. I want to make a dance to it. I just...shakes head helplessly

this song makes me think of how we are always getting lost in our minds, and thinking, and searching, and seeking, and before we know it, we find that all this time has passed, and all change has occurred, regardless. and, though it can be frightening, how far gone we may seem, all that we might've missed, it's also a good thing. even if we feel like everything stays the same, we're doing nothing, we're disappearing... even when we are distant, or lost, or in the dark... change is inevitable. it's happening whether we know it or not.
