To me, this song about someone in an unhealthy relationship with someone and they're finally letting that person go. The chorus is basically saying "I couldn't say this when I was your little lovesick puppy because I was blinded by love but now that I can see, you can't hold me back and I won't be smothered by you anymore. You've made me into a strong person and I will rise from the hurting!" But hey thats my opinion & I love this song so much!!!
you can't be blinded by love, only by infatuation..people's idea of love are distorted, media-polluted society, fed with lies and molded into deceived puppets, real love cannot be defined in one sentence and it's not a feeling, it's a action, not meaningless sex and such modern-day, twisted nonsense. people must rise from their deceived state of mind and clouded understanding.
