Butcher's Mouth Lyrics
I’ve got a way
of finding out what you said,
but I want to hear it from the butcher’s mouth.
I’ve got a way
of freaking out all your friends when I’m talking out loud.
But it ends me when I can tell that I’ve become the person I can’t take, that I hate,
a person so much like you.
I’ve got a way.
Your jealous eyes, with reckless pride, feasting on the wealth.
I’ve got a way.
This little click, brick by brick, has turned upon itself.
You’re a broken record repeating these vanities.
Over and over again.
You find your words and made them work for you,
and trust me, people will drink them in.
The absence of a witness, no one to see this.
Hid your affection for self-obsession and the greed.
But now it’s back to your, back to your knees.
I’ve got a way.
Your jealous eyes, with reckless pride, feasting on the wealth.
I’ve got a way.
This little click, brick by brick, has turned upon itself.
You’re a broken record repeating these vanities.
Over and over, the same old story.
(Throw yourself a pity party,
pulling each and every heartstring.
We brought you here.
We brought you here.
And no one will come to your defense.)
Let’s break that smile right off your face.
Taking time to save the place
where names are of no use
and ridiculous answers will find their sleep,
and you will find your sleep too.
(Way, I’ve got a way.)

i think its about a friend who is an addict, always trying to hide their actions when its easy to see, and also being incredibly selfish in what they do, thinking they will get away with what they do but finding out that they cant
So angry...I love it
amazingly cool... even for emery. one of the best of their 'negative' meaning songs. i actually thought it said "Bitching all the way" where they say "feasting on the wealth"
Such a good song. I see some church references in here:some of the deadly sins, back on your knees.
I am tired of these stupid emotional songs making it okay for people to call woman vain, jealous, and liars. Get over it and leave us alone!
...then go listen to some justin bieber and stop ripping on songs you clearly dont understand. you dont have to listen to emery if you dont like them. everyone is commenting on this song that its about an addict and how they see church references...no one said any negative shit towards woman. get over yourself.

Completely agree with both of the posts above mine. This song isn't commenting on stereotypes about women, not at all. Besides, how many songs say the exact same thing about guys? How many songs out there say all guys want is "one thing", that we are all players, liars, that men don't really care? If you're going to pull that feminist shit(especially without anything to back it up)then first think about how hipocritical what you're saying really is: You say "I'm tired of all these emotional songs making it okay for people to call woman vain, jealous, and liars.."- but you don't give a shit...

Fuck off with your "Stand up for blah blah blah" shit unless you're going to:

you're the reason why women were once trapped in a kitchen. not enough brains.

answer: one if she knows what's good for her.

(written by a girl who understands that yes, all women are cunts, and maybe if we didn't act like it, this song wouldn't have been written.)
