Prizefighter Lyrics

oooooh-oooooooh

Well, if you need me
I'm right here
No matter what
I'm always near

Yeah I've been through alot
and you can't scare me
Now go on baby
if you just dare me

I'll break through
any wall
just give me a call

I'm a dynamite-er
I'm a prizefighter

Well if you get sad
I'm your friend
I've got an ear
I'll always lend

You know that you can always talk to me
now come on baby take a walk with me

Tell me all
Tell Daddy(?) all
Just give me a call

I'm a go-all-nighter
I'm a prizefighter

Wooooo!

Well when you're down
and all alone
there's always somewhere
you can go

Here I am, a true friend
there's nothing gonna change over here on my end

Don't be scared
it's better shared
You know I'll always care

I'm an everythings-all-righter
I"m a prizefighter

Well if you need me
I'm right here
No matter what
I'm always near

Well I been through alot
and you can't scare me
Now come on baby
if you just dare me

I'll win your heart
Now let it start(?)
let it start

I'm a don't-do-it-wrong-do-it-righter
I'm a prizefighter
I'm a prizefighter
I'm a prizefighter

I just love love love this song. It has me grinning helplessly everytime I listen to it.

"Dynamiter, go-all-nighter, everythings-all-righter, do-it-righter"... lol and all that.

It's rather interesting (and fitting, I suppose) that Hombre Lobo begins with Prizefighter, and concludes with Ordinary Man, again with a passing reference of fighting:

... no one has a right, until they've fought my fight to understand just where I'm coming from. And it's that fight that brought me here today exactly as I am..."

The moment I write-off E, he comes up with a gem like this. I agree 42 steps, this tune brings a smirk to my face.

Not that you'll ever be back to read this and answer, but what made you write him off? I've always found him to be pretty consistently awesome.

it's disgustingly cheerful, but I can't not love it.

This song is about a guy who is always helping someone, with the hopes of getting back something, preferably a hearth - get doesn't get it. That's why he is a prizefighter in the first place. He tries to win love, with giving it.

At the end despair kicks in: "Now go on, baby, if you just dare me I'll win your heart Now let it start Let it start"
