My best guess is that a girl promises a guy that she's in love with him and will never leave him.
But in the end, she ended up leaving him, for perhaps another male and that's where the line, "Finders keepers in true," comes into play.
She promised the guy her heart, so he would wait for her so SHE wouldn't be alone. But she ditched him for another male. When he finally realized what happened to him, his world was "dead and gone" because of her.
It's like a regular situation in highschool when a girl falls for two guys. xD
