THe is pretty much obvious:). It is about someone who is hurting a person more than helping them in the long run:).
For me the song is about a person who has breaked up with her/his partner and this person is finally thinking about the ended relationship.
I agree with Gelbwurst. It sounds like a relationship ending in hopes that it would be better for both people, but instead it hurts more than it helps. However, when it says, "Tell me I'm everything, still it means nothing to you," it sounds like that's what ended it. So I assume it was one-sided, not in favor of the one singing.
