To me, this song is about someone who is leaving/dying and they are making her angry. She doesn't want to leave their relationship on a bad note. That's why "it's not fair".
In my opinion, this is from the pov of someone who's just murdered her partner in a blind rage. She is self aware, but still ultimately projects the blame onto him, as this behavior isn't new and he should have known or seen it coming in her eyes.
