When I push the sheets away
From your face
And watch you sleep all day here
And when I push you away
And say, "you simply cannot stay here"

But it's all love, all love
It's all love, my stupid love

When I say you take away
The most important parts of me with you
And when I've had the greatest day,
You add more gray
It's just your way
It's true

But it's all love, all love, oh
It's all love, all love, oh
It's all love, all love, oh
It's all love, my stupid love

You can't be the one to kill the pain anymore
You let me in, but then you slammed my fingers in the door
I've had enough, but I keep asking you to give me more
When I say that there's no way

It's all love, all love, oh
It's all love, all love, oh
It's all love, all love, oh
It's all love, my stupid love

It's all love, all love, oh (it's all love, it's all love)
It's all love, all love, oh (it's all love, it's all love)
It's all love, all love, oh (it's all love)
It's all love, my stupid love

i love this song!!!!! its been on repeat for days now =) i think this song is about a kind of quirky romance or a love/hate relationship. the guy isnt very nice to her but despite him "adding more gray to her day" its still "all love" i think many people can easily relate to this song and how the most dysfunctional relationships just seem to work. its an adorable song, and i love it.

I don't think it's about a dysfunctional relationship working, I think it's like the guy treats her poorly but she can't help but love him. And "it's all love" is about the guy kind of writing it off like it's nothing. She recognizes that it's stupid and wants to be done with it but she still loves him.

I'm not sure that it's simply about the guy treating the girl badly. I think the girl is afraid of falling for him as well which fits in with the "when I push you away" bit and the "I've had enough but I keep asking you to give me more" part because, despite the fact that she's afraid, she still knows she loves him... if that makes any sense =P

It sounds cheery but I agree with the LightsOut...the bridge suggests it's a bit darker, I think. I think she knows he's treating her badly but she's convincing herself it's worth it cos she's blinded by love.

I think it's about a girl who is in a dysfunctional relationship with a boy. And he seems to be the dominant one while she suffers. She seems really depressed and doesn't want to be in this relationship, but she can't help but love him even though he is hurting her.

    My Interpretation

From what I can see, I think it's about this girl who is with a certain guy. Now, they can be friends, or they can be lovers (which is actually more heavily implied) but the fact of the matter remains that she loves him no matter how difficult he may be (You let me in but then you slam my fingers in the door). It's like saying she's going to stay with him no matter how many times he tries to push her away. I'm going to go ahead and say that maybe it's because she knows he loves her, too, but I think that's reading too much. lol Aweosme song, though. :D

    My Interpretation

From my perspective and the relationship I was most recently in, this song is about knowing someone's wrong for you and that you need to walk away but you're having a hard time actually doing it. He just isn't the person she wants to spend the rest of her life with maybe he isn't what she needs and desires in a man but that doesn't take away the love she has for him. I believe she's walking away out of love for him, knowing she isn't right for him either. Everything she ever did for him was because she loved him. She wants to remain friends because they were so close for so long and she still cares but she knows she has to let go and he can't be the one she runs to when hurt anymore. She knows she isn't supposed to be with him but it's difficult to stay away and he's so hurt from her walking away that he's slamming her fingers in the door on the way out. She knows she has had enough of him hurting her but she still continues to go back to him and ask him for more. It's all because of love but she knows she needs he isn't right for her and she needs to leave, that doesn't stop her from continuing to love him and care.
